Jacob "B"
Jacob Bradbury Bean was a loving, gentle and cherished child, twin brother and beloved son. Jacob was only two-and-a-half years old, vibrant and full of life when he accidentally and tragically drowned in the ocean behind his parents' home on Thanksgiving Sunday, 2003. The Jacob Bradbury Bean Foundation was established as a way for all those who knew Jacob, his family or were touched by this tragedy. The Foundation provides a lasting legacy to Jacob's name, his life and the spirit in which he lived every day of his short life. Our mission is to serve the needs of children and their familes who face the frightening reality of serious illness, disease or injury. Just as Jacob's spirit warmed hearts and put smiles on faces, his Foundation is devoted to delivering hope, love and compassion to little children like Jacob.
